Free Instagram audit

What the audit looks at on your account

The audit reads your profile and your posts from the last few months, then scores five things that matter for a tattoo artist’s account. Each one counts toward your score out of 100.

  • Your bio

An empty or three-word bio doesn’t say your style, your city or how to book. The audit checks that it says enough for a client to understand at a glance what you tattoo and where.

  • Your profile link

It’s the only way out of Instagram. Without a link, an interested client has to DM you and wait for your reply. The audit counts any link, and gives it full weight when it leads to your Tattooed page, where people can send you a project and book.

  • Your consistency

An account that stopped posting looks closed. The audit counts your recent posts, turns them into a weekly pace and spots long silences.

  • Your formats

Photos, carousels and videos reach different people: video reaches those who don’t follow you yet, a carousel tells the story of a session, a photo shows the finished piece. The audit looks at which ones you use.

  • Engagement

The ratio between the likes and comments on your latest posts and your follower count. The audit uses the median value, so one post that took off doesn’t skew everything. If your likes are hidden, this point is left out of the score.

How the audit works

  1. Enter the @ of your professional Instagram account and run the audit. No sign-up, no password.
  2. The audit reads what is public on your account: bio, link, recent posts and reactions.
  3. You get a score out of 100 and your first actions, ranked by the points they can earn you.

Why your Instagram matters so much

For many clients, your Instagram is your portfolio: it’s where they discover your style, compare you with other tattoo artists and decide to reach out. An incomplete or silent profile makes them move on, even when your work is good.

The audit doesn’t judge your art. It checks what surrounds your work and decides whether a visitor becomes a client: understanding who you are, seeing that you’re active, finding how to book.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Instagram audit free?
Yes. You get your score and your first actions without creating an account.
Why does my account need to be professional?
Through its official interface, Instagram only lets professional accounts be read, creator or business. Switching is free and done in the app settings.
Do I need to give my Instagram password?
No. The audit only asks for your @ and only reads what is public on your account.
Do you keep my account information?
Your bio, followers and posts are neither stored nor displayed. Only the score and the tips are computed, and kept for a while so your account isn’t read again on every request.
When should I run the audit again?
The day after your changes. A completed bio or an added link shows up in the score right away; consistency and engagement take a few weeks of posting.
