What happens if my tattoo artist does not show up?
Report your artist's no-show in the app after a grace period and receive a full refund, with no Tattooed fee deducted.
You can report the artist's absence in the app after a short grace period. You receive a full refund as soon as the report is acknowledged or goes unanswered, with no Tattooed fee deducted from the refund.
This report refunds a deposit paid in the app, either for an appointment assigned by Tattooed or for a quote with an accepted deposit. If you paid nothing online, there is nothing to recover, and you must resolve the issue with the artist.
The grace period
The report button becomes available only after a grace period measured from the scheduled appointment time. Until then, the app tells you when you will be able to submit a report. The same grace period applies if you are the one running late.
What happens after you submit a report
The appointment remains confirmed while the report is reviewed. Nothing is paid out to the artist while the report is open. The artist has a set amount of time to acknowledge or dispute your report. If they acknowledge it or do not respond within that time, the dispute is automatically decided in your favor without human review. Your deposit is refunded in full, with no fee. If the artist disputes it, the case moves to arbitration.
Two separate outcomes after a no-show
Refunding the deposit and changing artists are two separate processes. A refund returns your money. It does not automatically start a search for a new artist. To continue your project with another artist, follow the process described in Can I request another artist after being assigned one?.
What submitting a report means
The report does not erase the missed session. It opens a dispute that the artist can challenge if they believe they did show up. Giving both sides a set response period makes an automatic refund possible in the most common case, without requiring a person to review every case.
