How do you book an appointment with a tattoo artist?
On Tattooed, the appointment follows your project. Once your design is approved and your tattoo artist chosen, you book a slot in their calendar that fits the estimated duration of your session. You see the hourly rate, the duration and the deposit amount before you confirm. The deposit is paid in the app and deducted from the balance paid on site. If the tattoo artist turns the project down, we suggest another and your deposit follows. If no session takes place, you get a full refund.

How much does the tattoo cost, in total?
The tattoo artist sets their hourly rate, and only them. The app estimates your session length from the design you approved, then shows you the assigned artist’s rate and the deposit amount before you confirm anything. So you know the ballpark before paying, and the deposit paid is deducted from the balance settled on site.
What is the deposit for?
It confirms your session and reserves the tattoo artist’s time. Its amount is shown before you confirm, and it is deducted from the final price of your session.
Do I risk paying for nothing?
No. Before the deposit, nothing is committed: you can preview, adjust or abandon a project without being asked for any amount. And if your tattoo artist declines the project, or it isn’t workable as is, we offer you another tattoo artist and your deposit carries over to the new appointment; if no other session happens, you’re refunded in full. It’s spelled out in the app, at the moment you pay.
Can I move my appointment?
Yes, as long as it is still possible for your session. You choose another slot with the same tattoo artist and keep your deposit, nothing is charged again. If their calendar is full around your date, let them know as soon as possible.
Do I need the app to book?
To book from your design, yes. Generation, choosing the tattoo artist and paying the deposit happen in the app. Some tattoo artists also share a booking link to their own page.
