Client
Who can see my project photos?
You and the artist assigned to you can see them while your appointment is active. No other artist or client has access. The back office is for admins only.
You, as the project owner, and the artist assigned to you through an appointment can see them while that appointment remains active. No other artist or client on the platform has access.
The same rules apply to photos you attach when booking directly from an artist's page: the photo of the area and your reference images are visible only to you and that artist. These attachments are optional.
Your access
You can always see your project photo, its description, and the generated renders. It is your project, and this access does not depend on an appointment.
The artist's access
An artist can see a photo only for projects where they have an active appointment with you, and only in read-only mode. They cannot approve anything, start another generation, or abandon your project for you. This access ends with the appointment: an expired or canceled appointment, or one reassigned to someone else, no longer gives them anything to see. This check is based on the identity of the appointment, not simply on whether someone is an artist. A project ID is not enough for anyone else to gain access by guessing a number.
Tattooed's access
Platform administrators can access projects through separate back-office routes restricted to their role, for support and moderation of reported content. This access is not available to an artist or client beyond what is described above.
How access is technically restricted
No one, including you, receives a permanent link to a photo. Each time a photo is displayed, it uses a signed link that is valid for only a few minutes. A copied or intercepted link therefore stops working quickly.
The stencil is an exception
The stencil, the black-and-white version of the design prepared for the artist, is never shown to the client in the app. It is reserved for the pro dashboard of the artist assigned to you, under the same access rules as the photo.
