Why am I not receiving any requests on Tattooed?

Five settings can exclude an account from requests: availability off, no geolocation, a closed calendar, service area, or a low reliability score.

An account is never shown to a client if even one condition is missing: an active account, the "I’m available for new requests" setting turned on, a geolocated address, a genuinely open slot, and a studio within the selected service area. The first is set during registration and rarely changes. The other four must be checked and corrected separately.

One note before we begin: this lack of requests concerns only clients Tattooed finds for you. Your own clients continue to come to you as before, through your booking link or your studio door.

The "I’m available for new requests" setting

You can find it at the top of the "Settings" tab under "Calendar". If it is off, your account is not included in any calculation, regardless of the rest of your profile. This is the most common cause of receiving no requests at all because it is the easiest setting to turn off accidentally or forget after taking a break.

When it is green, you receive requests. When it is off, you receive none.

Be careful, it closes both channels at once: assignment and your public booking page. The page remains available but states that you are no longer accepting bookings. This is the only cause on this list that also affects your own clients, so check it first when nothing is coming in from either channel.

A geolocated address

Your studio must have a saved address with coordinates recognized by the address service, not just text you entered. If geocoding failed when you saved it, the previous address, or no address, remains in place and your account does not appear within any radius.

A genuinely open slot

A slot counts as open if it is available in your standard week, not closed by a special day, and not already occupied by a proposed, confirmed, or ongoing appointment. A calendar that has never been set up or a standard week that is too restrictive makes you invisible even when you meet every other condition.

The service radius

Tattooed sets the radius within which a client must be located for you to be shown. You cannot adjust it. However, if your regular clients travel from outside that radius, their location will never make you a candidate.

The reliability score

It falls after a recorded no-show, a dispute decided against you, or a late cancellation on your part, and rises after each completed appointment. An account with a lower score remains a candidate but appears less often and ranks lower than an equivalent account with an unaffected score.

What never explains a complete lack of requests

Your Stripe payment account, even if incomplete or rejected, never excludes your account from requests. It only affects the payout of deposits already collected. Your hourly rate is not considered either. It is used only to calculate the client's deposit.

Eligible, but never chosen

If all five conditions are met but requests remain rare, the reason is different: the client sees three artists and can choose freely among them. A listing with no work photos or portrait puts you at a disadvantage, even though nothing technically prevents you from being a candidate.

None of these causes cuts you off from your own clients. Your booking page stays open, your regulars can book, and sessions you add there carry no commission. An account that receives no assignments remains fully usable for clients who are already yours.
