Tattoo artist

How many times can the same project be reassigned to me on Tattooed?

Tattooed limits artist changes for the same project. Once the limit is reached, support handles the case manually.

A limited number set by Tattooed, which is the same for every account. Beyond this limit, the project is no longer reassigned automatically and is handled by support. The limit counts changes of tattoo artist for the same appointment brought in by Tattooed, not requests that artist received for other projects.

Reassignment only exists in the assignment process. It requires a client who came through Tattooed, a deposit collected by the platform, and a system that looks for a replacement. An appointment made through your booking page, or a session you recorded yourself, can therefore never be taken away from you. The client is yours, Tattooed did not refer them, and there is nothing to reassign. See What is the difference between a client referred by Tattooed and one who is already yours?

When reassignment can happen

The client can only request another tattoo artist after the scheduled time of the appointment, never before. This is not a right to cancel, but a remedy available when the session did not take place with you. Reassignment remains possible as long as no work has been declared started for that appointment, and it is blocked while a pending no-show report is being decided.

What happens to you when a project is taken away

The appointment changes to reassigned status and is removed from your calendar. If a client has already paid a deposit, it follows the new appointment, with a new payout schedule for the tattoo artist taking over. None of that money was owed to you before the session took place.

What changes once the limit is reached

When the number of reassignments already completed for an appointment reaches the limit, Tattooed rejects any new automatic request to change tattoo artist for that project. Support handles the case manually instead of continuing to look for a replacement indefinitely.

Effect on your reliability score

The fact that a project was reassigned to someone else does not, by itself, affect your reliability score. What affects the score is the reason that allowed the reassignment: a confirmed no-show or a dispute decided against you, each with its own rule. See the article about the reliability score for details.
