How do I report a client no-show on Tattooed?
Reporting a no-show opens a dispute and freezes the deposit while the client responds. It is not immediately yours unless they acknowledge the no-show.
From the session details, which you can open with one click in your calendar, go to "Actions" after the grace period following the appointment time. You can then report that your client did not show up. The report opens a dispute and freezes the deposit while the client responds. The deposit does not become yours immediately.
This report freezes a deposit, so it is only available for an appointment that has one, either assigned by Tattooed or created from a quote with a deposit. You and your client handle a no-show without a deposit under your own terms.
Only for an appointment with a deposit
The report freezes a deposit, so it is only available when Tattooed holds one: for a client brought to you by the platform or an accepted quote with a deposit. For a booking without a quote or a session you entered yourself, the button explains that there is nothing to report. You and your client handle the no-show under your own terms. See What is the difference between a client brought to you by Tattooed and a client who is already yours?.
The waiting period before you can report it

Reporting only becomes available after the grace period from the start of the appointment has passed. The time is shown on the screen when the button becomes available. You can only submit one report per appointment. A second remains blocked until the first has been decided.
What happens after the report
The appointment remains confirmed while the case is reviewed, and no money moves before a decision. The client has a set period to respond:
- they acknowledge the no-show: the dispute is immediately decided in your favor, and you keep the deposit;
- they dispute it: the case goes to an administrator for arbitration. See How does dispute arbitration work?;
- they do not respond within the time limit: their silence counts as acknowledgment, and the dispute is automatically decided in your favor.
If you submit reports frequently
Once you exceed a certain number of no-show reports within a rolling period of several months, the client's silence is no longer enough to decide automatically in your favor. The case always goes to an administrator, even if the client does not respond.
What information you receive
You are notified as soon as the client responds or the dispute is decided. You do not need to return to the screen and check it regularly.
What you get paid
Once the dispute is decided in your favor, the deposit follows the normal payout schedule. For your reliability score, the appointment counts as completed because you were there. See When do I get paid after an appointment on Tattooed?.
