How do I verify my professional account on Tattooed?

Verification uses Stripe onboarding in /pro. It does not affect whether you receive clients, only payouts of their deposits.

Verification is completed through Stripe, Tattooed's payment provider, rather than through a manual review of your file. It does not determine whether you receive client requests. You start receiving them as soon as you sign up. What it unlocks is the payout of deposits that have already been collected and the ability to transfer that money to your bank.

Verification only affects money processed through Tattooed: deposits paid through the platform and your payment links, which cannot be created without it. Money collected at your studio does not go through this process and does not have to wait. A file in progress does not prevent you from seeing your regular clients or getting paid by them on site.

What starts the verification process

Signing up on /pro is open and immediate. You do not need prior approval from an administrator to create an account and access the pro dashboard. The dashboard displays an onboarding link hosted by Stripe, which collects the identity, business, and banking information needed to open a professional payment account.

What verification actually changes

An incomplete payment file does not prevent you from receiving clients. The automatic tattoo artist search does not filter by this status. This is deliberate. A professional who has just signed up must be able to receive a first client, or there is no incentive to complete the verification file.

Verification determines when the funds become available to you. Until your file is approved, deposits for your appointments are collected and held, but they are not paid out to your wallet, and you cannot request a transfer to your bank. As soon as the file becomes verified, pending deposits are sent automatically, without any follow-up action from you.

The banner in your pro dashboard

Until your file is complete, a banner remains on the "Payouts" screen under "My activity". It does not say that your account cannot receive clients. It explains that your collected deposits are waiting to be paid out and asks you to complete or resume your payment file to release them.

On the Payouts screen, deposits wait until the file is complete.

What to do if the file is rejected or blocked

A rejection or block comes from Stripe, which applies its own identity and business verification rules. Open the onboarding link again from your /pro dashboard. It tells you exactly what information is missing or needs to be corrected. A rejected file continues to receive appointments. Only payouts of deposits already collected remain blocked until the issue is resolved. If the problem continues despite accurate information, contact Tattooed support from your pro dashboard.

What actually determines whether you receive requests

Because verification plays no part in this, your profile is what actually determines whether you are included in client requests: an active account, the "I’m available for new requests" switch turned on under "Calendar" on the "Settings" tab, an address that has been entered and geocoded, and a calendar with genuinely open slots. Complete these items as soon as you sign up, regardless of the progress of your Stripe payment file.

What should I do if Stripe rejects my file?

A rejection comes from Stripe, not Tattooed. Appointments continue. Only payouts of deposits already collected are blocked until you fix the issue.
