Can I change my studio address after signing up?

Yes, at any time. In your /pro dashboard, go to "Settings", then "Profile", and update the "Location" field. There are no restrictions based on how old your account is or whether an appointment is in progress. Enter the new address and save it, and it replaces the old one.

The address is used first for assignment, which looks for a tattoo artist near the client. Changing it therefore changes which requests Tattooed sends you. Your own clients book through your booking link, where no distance radius is involved.

What happens when you save

Every address change triggers automatic geocoding. Tattooed uses an address service to find the exact coordinates and corresponding city, then saves them with the standardized address. This combination of coordinates and city, not the text you type, is then used to offer you clients within the right radius.

If the address is not recognized

The address service may not respond or may not recognize what you entered. In that case, nothing is saved. Your old address and coordinates remain in place, and you can correct your entry and try again. Tattooed never keeps an address without associated coordinates or combines a new address with old coordinates. They both change together, or neither one changes.

What the change affects

• Your position in assignment: the automatic tattoo artist search ranks artists by distance using these coordinates. Moving can therefore make you visible to new clients in one area and remove you from consideration in another, starting with the next calculation.
• The city shown publicly: this is the only part of the address that clients see when looking for a tattoo artist before they are connected with one. They only receive the full address once their appointment with you is confirmed.

What the change does not affect

Appointments that are already confirmed keep the address as it was when they were booked. A client who booked with you does not have to check where to go again after an address change. Only future connections use the new location.

Address autocomplete

The field suggests addresses as you type, with their coordinates already attached. Selecting a suggestion prevents geocoding errors and means you do not have to wait for final validation to find out whether the address was recognized.
