How do artist-to-artist referrals work on Tattooed?
Refer another artist: when their profile is complete and verified, your Premium subscription is credited automatically, with no action required.
A tattoo artist who introduces another artist to Tattooed is rewarded with Premium subscription time. It is credited automatically as soon as the referred artist's profile is complete and verified. You do not need to request anything: the credit is applied automatically.
This program only applies to fellow artists. No client, whether brought to you by Tattooed or already your own, counts toward this reward. The referred artist's profile triggers it, not their activity.

A referral link is generated the first time you open the "Referrals" screen in your /pro dashboard, which has had its own page since August 31, 2026. It does not change afterward. Share this link with the artist you want to refer. It opens the artist sign-up page directly with the referral included, with no code to dictate or enter again. What triggers the reward
Simply linking the referral at sign-up is not enough. The reward is triggered when the referred artist's profile is truly complete and verified. This means their verification file has been approved, their address has been entered, and their profile has reached the same milestones as an account that can be suggested to a client, including an open time slot and a portfolio photo. A newly created account that is never completed does not trigger anything.
How you receive the credit
If you have not subscribed when the referred artist qualifies, the credit is added to the trial period offered when you subscribe. If you already have a subscription, it takes the form of a credit on your billing account and is applied automatically to your next renewal, regardless of your billing frequency.
What cannot be combined with this program
An artist referred this way does not also become a paid affiliate. A paid affiliate, meaning an outside partner, store, or studio that brings in clients or artists in exchange for a cash commission, cannot open a professional account on Tattooed. These are two separate programs with different beneficiaries and rewards: artist-to-artist referrals are rewarded with subscription time, while the affiliate program pays money based on a statement and invoice.
Safeguards
An account can only be linked once, to one referrer. Referring yourself with a second professional account is not allowed. The referred artist does not receive anything through this program: only the referrer is rewarded.
